Very good! Especially the ability to handle several currencies is very useful, cause I have to handle Euro, US Dollar and Japanese Yen on a regular basis... Please, Please, PLEASE add the possibility to add negative expenses (aka income) to make it perfect! I would be willing to pay extra for that feature...
Frictionless expense tracking with some nice little ideas. Tried others, but always came back to this one. Only thing I am missing are recurring expenses.
The icons are too childish and dull. Colored icons and better graphics are preferred. They could also be done in a more descriptive way to identify and match exactly the categories. There are categories that doesnt match any of the icons.
I really like the ease of use of Sumptus. It enables me to keep a very accurate record of the money were spending by categories. I can put in my own categories with an icon from the icons given. Easy. I can upload a report to Numbers but I havent figured out how to get it to display properly. Its not intuitive. I would have given five stars except for one thing. I can only use the app on the iPhone. An iPad version is promised but its been coming soon since November 2014. I would also like to see a Mac version. Wishes...

Great app and its so well designed that it feels good to use it. Id love to have the ability to track even income and have a total balance instead of monthly/yearly limits and I really hope you will introduce something like this. iCloud sync would be great too.

Some bad moments

TextExpander 3’s keyboard + Sumptus = Mind blown. Budgeting doesn’t get any simpler as phb 70.00 that translates into AT&T Phone Bill $70.00. And it gives you a report you can AirDrop/print/and push to other things. Highly recommend!
Love the simplicity of the app and how it looks. The the most bold feature is - type the expense note like you type it in Notes. but it’s saved as a real expense note, with separate title and amount. Costs a penny, but it looks like the app costs its money.
I’m sold because of only one feature - Natural language input. Simply type the expense and get an accurate result. Save much time.
What Sumptus got right: 1. The natural language capability to quickly log an expense on a single line. Seriously, you cant do it any faster or effortless than this. This alone is worth the price of the app. 2. Simple and not trying to do too much. I dont need to log the exact time (with that said Sumptus does record the exact time and Id preferred that removed), I dont need to log the account, and I dont need to log my income (cmon it never changes). 3. Widget. I love apps with useful widgets. Provide reminder of the budget. What Sumptus need: 1. Sync. An expense app in 2014 must have the ability to sync with other devices. I can be logging on my iPhone and later make input on my iPad. What about family? This app must have been made by a bunch of single guys. 2. Do away with categories and give us multiple tags. Charge more for this, I dont care, this would make this app true PERFECTION. 3. Interactive charts that you can choose to display only certain tags or certain combo of tags. 4. Recurring expenses. Yes, I said I didnt want a lot of features, but this is necessary. 5. Either partner with ScanBot for taking pictures of the receipts or allow us to load it from camera rolls. The built-in camera isnt very good. I have been searching high and low for a simple and unobtrusive app to quickly take down expenses, spending a small fortune in the process. The only feature that I actually need in addition to taking things down quickly is budgeting. Sumptus is perfect for this. I stay away from any apps that ask for bank logins. Im not gonna trust some startup with sensitive info like that. Ive tried many paid and subscription based financial apps and they all failed trying to do too much. For example I started with MoneyWiz. There are like 20 boxes of info to fill in to log a simple expense. Dont forget you have multiple accounts and the ability to reconcile (seriously). I end up never touching it after the first day. Five bucks wasted. There are other apps that use gps to log the store youre in. Sounds cool at first, but more often then not you have to go back and change the location because its inaccurate. Its also not very useful because I dont log right away so Im never where it says I am. More apps want to track your income as well. Not useful for me because I have fixed income and know how much money I have. The one app I did like...Toshl. I even subscribed for it. But the app hasnt been updated in awhile. Whats more, the mobile app is underwhelming. Youd need to log in on the desktop to see the graphic and such. Its standout feature? Tags. Multiple tags. Forget categories, you can tag it whatever you like then pull the chart you want based on those tags. I hope Sumptus would add this.
The BEST budget app that I’ve ever seen! Highly recommended Sumptus!
As a senior I many Times have issues finding my way around new apps. This one was so easy I was able to do it within a very short time and Im using it daily basis it is the simplest and easiest and I have tried many it does everything I will need and more and even better when you have a question you get a response within a few days I have done this twice and they have told me what I needed to know and I was off and running cant say enough about the ease of this app.
